Conventional skin care is surface-level cleansing and hydration performed by aestheticians. Medical skin care is performed by physicians and includes device- and injection-based treatments that act on the deeper layers of the skin.
It depends on the treatment. HydraFacial every 4-6 weeks, microneedling every 4 weeks, mesotherapy weekly to bi-weekly. Your physician will determine the optimal protocol after skin analysis.
Most treatments are tolerated comfortably with topical anaesthetic cream. Device treatments such as HydraFacial are painless; needle-based treatments may cause mild prickling.
After HydraFacial, you return to daily life immediately. After microneedling, mild redness may last 24-48 hours. After botox or fillers, same-day return is possible.
